As a part of our commitment towards our language and literature, we offer an endowment award  -consisting of a cash award of Rs.15,000 and Citation – every year to a deserving talent selected by the Thunchan Memorial Trust, Tirur, Kerala. The Award is given either for short story or poetry each year. Sri M T Vasudevan Nair is the Chairman of the Trust.

Sri Manoj Vellanad (Story), Smt. Remya Snjeev (Poetry), Sri. Abin Joseph (Story) and Smt. Mumtaz C Pang (Poem) are the awardees so far.

The selection panel, which includes well-known writers in Malayalam, chooses the awardee from the entries sent on the basis of advertisements given in the media. The age of the writer has to be below 30 years to be considered for the award.
